Our health and dental benefits plan is moving to Canada Life on October 1^st, 2026! This message includes important information about the transition, so you know what to expect.

What do I need to do?

• Canada Life is taking care of moving your plan over, including current balances and individual claims history. Benefits do not re-set and the benefit year remains June 1^st to May 31^st.
• Review the attached Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to get familiar with what’s happening and your new plan at Canada Life.
• Log in to your GSC account prior to Sept. 30^th to print off any statements you may need for your records.
• If you have received a pre-authorization for a medical item or dental treatment and will not be receiving the item/treatment and/or submitting the claim prior to Oct. 1^st, please ensure that you keep a copy of the pre-authorization from Green Shield. You will need to submit a copy of the pre-authorization to Canada Life.
• Attend an upcoming information session where you’ll learn more about how to make the most of your plan at Canada Life. Watch for information coming your way soon!

What’s next?

Starting October 2, 2026, you’ll be able to manage your benefits online on Canada Life’s member site,  My Canada Life at Work (mycanadalifeatwork.com).

• You’ll receive more details on how to access the site when it’s time.
• If you incur any claims between the plan effective date and when you have access to My Canada Life at Work, make sure you keep your receipts so you can submit those claims once you access the site.
• If you have claims dated prior to Oct. 1^st that you did not yet submit to Green Shield, you will be able to submit those claims to Canada Life.
