Exciting news!  Your Health and Dental Benefits Plan is now live at Canada Life

Key information

• Important numbers:
  • Your policy number is
  • Your ID number is your UBCP Number
  • Your providers need these numbers to process claims under the plan.
  • Starting October 2nd, when you sign in or register for My Canada Life at Work^TM you can access a digital benefits card with your new numbers on it.

Reminder on submitting claims: You can start submitting claims, to Canada Life starting on October 2^nd (as long as you haven’t already submitted them to your previous carrier).

• Check out your Canada Life Welcome Brochure:  It has information about Canada Life tools and resources, and includes instructions on how to find your electronic benefits card.
• Attend an information session:  Attend the information session with Canada Life on 22^nd at 1pm, to help you learn more about how to make the most of your plan.  Please RSVP by emailing sarah@mbt.ca.

Starting October 2, 2026:  Manage your plan online with My Canada Life at Work

My Canada Life at Work is Canada Life’s member site where you can manage workplace plans online.  Check out a video overview of the site.

You can:

• Submit claims and view claim history.
• Review benefits coverage and balances.
• Use the drug coverage search tool to find drug coverage information.
• View, save and print your benefits card.
• Find providers near you.
• Access helpful tools and resources.
• Check out a video overview of the site.

Sign in or register for My Canada Life at Work

If it’s your first time using My Canada Life at Work, you’ll need to register the first time you access the site. After October 2nd, watch the video or follow the instructions below: 

• Go to com.
• Select Register, then select Benefits.
• Enter policy number 57892 and your ID number (UBCP number).
• Follow the prompts to set your email ID and password. Make sure you register with your personal email address.

Need help registering or signing in? Once your plan is live, contact Canada Life’s technical support at 1-888-222-0775 Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

Once registered, you can also download the My Canada Life at Work app from your favourite app store so you can manage you plan on the go.

Optional benefits: Canada Life’s Freedom to Choose™

Canada Life offers Freedom to Choose™ life, critical illness and accident insurance. It can help protect your income and savings if something were to happen to you. Thanks to group rates, it may be more affordable than what you’d pay for individual coverage, and you can keep the coverage even if you leave your job or your group plan ends.

• When you apply before October 31^st, 2026, you can apply and be approved for $150,000 of life insurance with no medical questions. You can apply on My Canada Life at Work (Sign in and select Options for you) or by calling 1-833-725-0257.
• You can also apply for $25,000 of critical illness insurance with no medical questions.
