The MBT Trustees and Staff invite you to focus in on your benefits and join us for our in-person Annual General Meeting on Wednesday November 5, 2025. Please click here for the Meeting Notice.

At this meeting we will be holding the annual trustee election, presenting the Audited 2024 Financial Statements and seeking input on section 3.5 of the MBT which deals with Trustee term limits and states:

‘Trustees may be elected for a maximum of four (4) terms.’

This has been interpreted to mean 4 consecutive terms rather than 4 lifetime terms, meaning a trustee could be elected and serve 4 consecutive terms, take at least one year off and then run again to be a trustee. The current wording does not match the interpretation and prior to making any recommendations for changes, the trustees would like to receive member feedback on trustee term limits.
